My Story

A big picture person. Creative, persuasive, inquisitive. Gets things done.

Looking for patterns

I'm passionate about crafting meaningful brands and connections. My journey into brand marketing was somewhat serendipitous; I found myself immersed in it before fully comprehending its allure.

During my university years, I pursued a comprehensive five-year Art History course. It exclusively involved oral exams — those nerve-wracking moments where I'd draw questions and present my answers to esteemed professors. This unique experience instilled in me a number of invaluable skills, particularly the art of crafting compelling arguments.

My studies delved deeply into critical thinking, methodology, and the psychology of perception. I learned that some works of art etch themselves into history by creating ripples, evoking emotions, conveying (hi)stories, or perfectly encapsulating the ephemeral je ne sais quoi of a particular moment in time. This insight, I've found, holds equally true for brands, products, services, and individuals seeking to make their mark in today's bustling and competitive commercial landscape.

Joining the dots

I fell in love with Cambridge in 2007 while researching English secular architecture of the 16-18th century. At that moment, I set a clear goal: to make this city my home after graduation. In 2010, I made it official.

During the following years, I immersed myself in the Cambridge life. Fueled by the knowledge and inspiration from my university days, I took a bold step, and co-founded a pioneering cafe, a space that seamlessly blended art, cycling, and simple, healthy, delicious food. It was an instant success, igniting my passion for creating connections and shared experiences.

Recognising my knack for brand building, storytelling, strategic vision, and content creation, I set my sights on a new horizon. I ventured into the world of marketing, where I could nurture connections, champion authenticity, develop teams, and build enduring brands. Today, I've transformed a 30+ year-old company, reshaping Lumie lights into sought-after tools for everyday self-care.

Industry insights —

Some artworks make history. They do so by creating ripples, evoking emotions, narrating significant stories, or flawlessly encapsulating the elusive 'je ne sais quoi' of a particular era or sentiment. The same is true for brands. READ MORE→
